This book contains wisdom from many sources, some of it serious, some amusing, all of it valuable and useful to couples preparing for marriage. It is like getting advice from a lot of experienced, knowledgeable counselors, all in one place.  It would be valuable to any couple who want to know what it will take to create and sustain a lasting marriage. ~ Tina B. If we could give engaged and newlywed couples just one gift that would help ensure their success, it wouldn’t be a toaster.  It would be information about what to expect along their journey. We humans can do just about anything–climb Mt. Everest, walk on the moon, breast-feed twins–if we just know what to expect.  This book delivers.  It’s filled with loving advice about what to expect in a normal marriage (or remarriage) plus offers heartfelt and helpful wisdom about how to handle the challenges that come with each stage, each milestone. It’s a wedding gift that will keep on giving. ~ Diane Sollee, Founder and Director of www.SmartMarriages.com

There are a lot of books about marriage. Most of them are by one author, who, if you love, is great. But for those who aren’t well read, have no idea where to begin, or simply want to absorb as much as possible, as efficiently as possible, on the topic of marriage, this book hits a home run. The wide variety of voices guarantees you WILL resonate and learn something new to bring into your upcoming or existing marriage. ~ Elizabeth Doherty Thomas President of www.TheFirstDance.com, a wedding and premarital relationship website; www.ElizabethDohertyThomas.com

Imagine finding a book with the collected wisdom of some of the wisest relationship experts of the 21st century. At a time when messages of doom about marriage and enduring relationships abound, Susanne Alexander has created an amazing collection of solid advice for those who want to make relationships work. I have been a Marriage and Family Therapist for more than 30 years and married for 55 years, and I believe you don’t find a soul mate, you learn to become one. The key is for both partners to be open to learning. Susanne’s book, a treasure of information, includes a bibliography of contributors which alone is worth the price of the book. ~ Elva Anson, L.M.F.T, author of Becoming Soulmates and How to Get Kids to Help at Home (www.familyfirstbooks.com); blog: www.soulmatetips.blogspot.com

There is a wealth of wisdom between these covers from a vast array of the country’s leading relationship experts. Follow the research cited and advice advocated in this book and your marriage will NOT become 1 of the 2 that currently end in divorce! DON’T get married without it! ~ Sherry Amatenstein, L.M.S.W., author of The Complete Marriage Counselor; www.marriedfaq.com
If couples would spend as much time and research preparing for married life as they do for planning a wedding or buying a car, we would witness many more happy marriages. Marriage, when entered into with wisdom and understanding, becomes a fortress for well-being.  This book, with the accumulated wisdom of over 70 experts, offers essential insights and practical advice to prepare any couple contemplating their future together to be equipped for the challenge.  This will certainly assist in my counseling as a Family Doctor. ~ Brenda Maxwell, M.D., M.Sc., Ed. Cert., C.C.F.P., F.C.F.P.
A brilliant book! Filled with engaging anecdotes and experts’ advice, plus self-assessment quizzes that are enjoyably and ultra-effectively short and sweet, this book is a Must Read for any couples planning to marry in the near future. Pre-marital discussions must cover the serious topics–not just the design of a wedding cake or selecting napkin colors for the reception–to make a marriage not just survivable, but a place where both partners can thrive and grow and like each other as well as love each other. Susanne Alexander’s new book is a priceless gift for the future bride and groom, helping them prepare for that happily ever after. ~ Sharon Naylor, author of over 35 books, including Love Bets ; www.sharonnaylor.net

While we must all pass a test to get a license to drive, there is no course that couples must take before receiving a marriage license.  The experts in this book all make impassioned pleas for doing the necessary preparation before walking down the aisle, and their insightful advice should be required reading for anyone who is serious about getting and staying married. ~ Jodie Gould, a.k.a. “The Husband Whisperer” and author of Date Like A Man: To Get The Man You Want; www.jodiegould.com

Marriage advice is only GOOD if it actually helps the relationship and is only CREDIBLE if the person giving advice knows what they’re talking about.  All-in-One Marriage Prep gives today’s seriously dating, engaged, or newlywed couple with GOOD and CREDIBLE marriage advice on anything and everything they need as they embark on the marriage journey. ~ K. Jason and Kelli Krafsky, co-authors of Facebook and Your Marriage (www.FBMarriage.com) and author of Before “I Do” (www.FullMarriageExperience.com)

This is the type of book/guidance I have been looking for. It is so well-organized, and the language is understandable and enjoyable to read. I think this is the “gold” at the end of the rainbow! The section on step families is remarkable.   It truly highlights the things that are so very important that I never thought of, because I was not fully aware and in the “it will work because we love each other so much” mind set.  There were very touchy things that were discussed with great respect and guidance on the matter.  There are so many different writing styles, topics, and points of view that you never get bored with the text–yet it flows and is not confusing. There are ALWAYS solutions, guidance, and success stories, even if you do encounter the problems that can tear apart a marriage.  ~ F.D., in a serious relationship
